About Us

Soham Brigade is for both boys and girls aged between 6yrs and 18yrs old.   We meet on a Wednesday night at Methodist Church Hall, Berrycroft in term time only.  At the moment we have one section and everyone  meets between 7pm - 8.15pm.  We are a small group but we are keen to increase our numbers and if you are interested in joining us please email Captain@sohambb.org.uk and we will be in touch with more details.  

We do a lot of activities with Sawston BB such as annual camps and D of E.  We actively offer all three levels of the DofE Award Scheme - Bronze, Silver and Gold where we work alongside the Sawston BB group, and we have undertaken expeditions in the Yorkshire Dales and Thetford Forest.   Our weekly programme includes arts and crafts, fun activities, cooking and camping skills and lots of sports and games.  Each week we all meet together to have a short devotional time with our minister Rev Colin Watkins.   In the summer we do activities such as canoeing, sports on Soham recreational field, orienteering  and pioneering.  We always end our session with a fun BBQ.   We are open for boys and girls from the Soham area, and offer constructive and challenging activities.

   ■ When do we meet?
  • Between September and May:   We meet on Wednesday nights between 7pm and 8.15pm.

• Between May and July:
We meet on Wednesday nights between 7pm - 8.15pm.

• Between July and September:
We do not meet as it's the Summer Holidays!
